This is a Part Time Paid Internship
Title: Public Relations Intern
Department: Public Relations
Status: Intern (3-month program)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
*Interviews for our 2026 Internship positions will take place in March 2026
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Write a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts
• Assist broadcasters, media, and visiting club public relations representatives before, during and after games
• Assist with writing of daily game notes and team publications
• Compile daily clips and stat packs on gamedays
• Distribute information to on-site media, which may include game notes, press releases and information guides
• Assist with the team's photo and media archives
• Answer phone calls and respond to requests and inquiries in a knowledgeable manner
• Assist Public Relations and other departments with special events as needed
• Perform related duties as assigned by PR staff
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• College coursework or Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism or a related field preferred
• Prior working experience in sports PR or journalism preferred (not required)
• Strong knowledge of baseball
• Ability to interact professionally with media, players, and other staffers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop and other Adobe systems
• Ability to work on a baseball schedule, which includes all homestands and other holidays
• Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
• Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 3-month program during the summer months
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Passionate about working for a professional sports team
• Proactive and out of the box thinking
This is a non-renewable internship and will conclude at the end of the scheduled 12-week program.
