Full Time Job
Job Functions:
• Assist the social media team with asset sourcing, copywriting, content upload, and community management across Dodgers social media channels
• Facilitate preparation of weekly social media performance reporting and analytics recaps for internal use
• Track performance metrics across channels for use in weekly performance reports
• Assist VP of Digital Marketing with project management and post scheduling for paid social ad initiatives and partner posts, and deadline facilitation with creative teams for custom social content
• Monitor and track discussion topics related to the Dodgers, Major League Baseball and all professional sports across all social media platforms
• Foster productive working relationships with key internal stakeholders including Marketing, Advertising, Creative Services & Publicity as well as strong working relationships with external team members at MLB
• Work across departments to protect the brand and ensure proper messaging is being executed online that will help reach the organization's objectives
• Stay current on the latest trends and accepted practices in social media and marketing
• Consistently ideate on new ways to generate audience awareness, engagement and intent; create direct touchpoints with consumers; and increase department efficiency and effectiveness
• Complete additional special projects as warranted, including self-directed efforts
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Media or related field
• Minimum two-year's experience in Sports Marketing or Digital Marketing, with a concentration in social media
• Interest in and understanding of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and Major League Baseball, both from a historical and current perspective.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, including exceptional writing and grammar, as well as expert knowledge of social media/online culture and jargon
• Bilingual skill set a plus
• Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Experience Required:
• Must be able to work in a setting where long, non-standard hours are the norm.
• Minimum one-year experience in marketing, with a concentration digital/social media marketing.
• 1-2 years professional work experience.
• Preferred 2 - 3 years Sports Marketing or Entertainment Marketing background a plus.
• Education Preferred Bachelors or better in Marketing or related field
