The Los Angeles Dodgers are seeking a creative and highly motivated individual for the position of Design Manager within the planning and development department. The Design Manager will be responsible for communicating the Dodger's vision for future and on-going projects at Dodger Stadium to architects, interior and graphic designers, and then translating the work into presentation materials.
Job Functions:
• Compile existing drawings and plans for future and on-going projects, including large-scale and small-scale projects
• Create renderings, mock-ups, models, and illustrations as needed
• Work closely with the Corporate Partnership department to create presentable drawings, renderings, and other presentation materials
• Work closely with external architecture firms, interior design firms, and graphic design firms
• Develop relationships with and provide constant and consistent communication to executive leadership
• Maintain extensive knowledge of the Dodger Stadium style guide and ensure that projects are completed within its parameters
• Set up and participate in meetings with architects, designers, engineers and contractors as well as outside agencies and provide follow up direction as required.
• Manage multiple projects, which are small to large in size and complexity, schedules and budgets
• Work with other departments to insure their needs and sponsor requirements are met
• Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, Planning, Engineering or similar professional degree required
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in design/construction projects required
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, Revit (or other 3-D software), and rendering capabilities are critical
• Ability multitask and prioritize so that projects are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess excellent reasoning, problem-solving, creative thinking and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate projects to ensure they are executed in a timely manner and within the allocated budget
• Ability to motivate project teams to build team morale and group commitment to project goals and deliverables
• Ability to assume direction and coordinate required parties and consultants
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in parallel
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
