Job Summary

Can you edit, mix and create audio elements that bring people to their feet?
In-Game Audio Specialist will be responsible for all hands-on audio execution during Los Angeles Clippers games; including but not limited to audio engineering, music/EFX playback operation and all related pre-game preparation. Audio Specialist will also craft instrumental music scores for in-game and video use, including technical performer aspects of the game entertainment production to ensure its full potential of successfully providing the fans with the best experience.
Ideal Audio Specialist will be well-versed in different genres of music; have strong experience with editing, mixing, and creating all audio elements for sports events, including dance team routines, mascot skits, in-game beats, hot time-outs, pump music clips, and creative music themes for on-court promotions.
As an ideal Audio Specialist, you will also possess the talent and skill to read the energy of a large crowd and react/execute accordingly, and you will consistently create and implement musical ideas that provide a fresh, energetic, fun-filled and fan-inspiring atmosphere at all home games.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct music/EFX playback for every Clippers preseason, regular season, and playoff home game.
• Power up mix location, checking all equipment is in working order. Assist with setup for every event and confirm that all necessary equipment functions properly.
• Assist game director when needed, executing hot time-outs to maximize fan experience.
• Consistently cut, produce, categorize and store new music for in-game use.
• Work with dance team and mascot to edit music and satisfy in-game needs. Run through dance team rehearsal and confirm music for their routines. Load all changes into audio system before every game.
Characteristics
/ Qualifications
• Highly knowledgeable on all music genres and the history of music and well-versed in musical trends.
• Background in audio recording, mixing, and producing.
• Copyrighting experience is a plus.
• Keyboard/piano/organ experience a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple high-level positions.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to provide and receive meaningful feedback.
• Ability to receive audio direction and implement accordingly.
• Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
• Strong teamwork aptitude required.
• Good with spontaneous crowd interaction.
• Able to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED degree. College graduate preferred.
• Minimum 2 or more years' experience operating audio for sports or live events.
• Proven dedication with the ability to oversee projects from origin through execution.
• Willingness to learn and ability flourish in a high growth, dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business.
