The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario are an American professional basketball team of the NBA G League that began play for the 2017–18 season. The franchise is owned by and affiliated with the LA Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team is based in Ontario, California.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Business Development to maximize all high-level revenue opportunities. This role is responsible for targeting businesses and organizations in the community through prospecting and cold calling new and existing clients. The Director of Business Development will have a primary focus on selling new premium and court-side seating options and corporate partnerships. The person will be responsible for achieving weekly and monthly levels of activity and goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Generate revenue through selling all Agua Caliente Clippers premium inventory: courtside club seats, courtside seats, club seats, suites, and sponsorships.
• Develop and maintain client database through new customer prospecting, cold calling, community events, networking and referrals.
• Work closely with Team President to design and execute high-level sales initiatives targeting major companies in the Inland Empire. Help establish events and experiences that will enhance the customer experience and build brand loyalty.
• Responsible for providing leadership by example and helping establish a positive sales culture across all sales departments. This can include mentorship for junior level ticket staff to achieve organizational revenue goals.
• Accountable for working with Director of Business Operations and Corporate Partnerships Coordinator to create and execute corporate partnership proposals and agreements.
• Manage various in-game assets/fan experiences in order to maximize premium sales.
• Establish and provide ongoing review policies and procedures that support the seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
• Keep accurate records of client files, payments, prospective meetings, and department progress.
Characteristics
/Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant ticket sales experience.
• Strong leadership and sales skills with an emphasis towards top level revenue.
• Shown success in establishing C Level relationships to cultivate as sales opportunities.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to train, mentor and develop an effective sales team and culture.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Demonstrated dedication with the ability to oversee projects from origin through execution.
• Willingness to learn and should be able to flourish in a high growth, dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business.
