Job Summary
The LA Clippers are seeking a Digital Producer/Editor who will be responsible for generating original video content for social media, digital and in-arena usage. The team is looking for a skilled video shooter, producer and editor that will embed with the team; shooting games, practices, and off-court events to help bring the stories of the team, players, coaches, and staff to life for LA Clippers fans. Producer will also produce original content (long and short form features) and edit material (highlights, sizzle reels, storytelling).
As an ideal candidate, you will have a feel for storytelling, an eye for basketball cinematography, and the desire to create premier video content. You should also be familiar with the capture and creation of video content that will play well across multiple screens and on multiple platforms. You will help establish the LA Clippers as a premier video production team, capturing the essence and excitement of what it means to be a Clipper.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Shoot and produce video feature projects, highlights, interviews, and other on-demand content for social media, digital and in-arena distribution.
• Provide video coverage of LA Clippers basketball games and events, both home and away.
• Demonstrate news judgment to commission, edit, select and sell posts for the LA Clippers, consistent with the team and brand message, but also with an eye to expand and engage a Clippers audience.
• Contribute to creative development process, including ideation of content, and turning those ideas into a story captured on video.
• Coordinate and utilize existing in-house resources for video content, including local broadcasters and in-venue production teams .
• Design and create motion graphics for use in video features.
• Ability to shoot photography for Clippers digital channels, and incorporate Clippers photography in video pieces for the desired effect.
Characteristics
/ Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Television/Video Production, Broadcast Journalism, Marketing or Communications a plus.
• 4 years of relevant professional camera experience.
• Overall working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Studio and General Production Equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to shoot, produce and edit content to be delivered and resonate across various digital and social platforms.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with initiative is a must, and a creative style that is always looking for the best way to capture subjects on video.
• Knowledge of the NBA is required, and the ability/confidence to approach and interact with players, getting the most out of them, and showcasing their personalities.
• Ability to work long, irregular hours.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30lbs, related to video production equipment.
• Willingness to learn and desire to succeed in a high-growth, fast-paced, start-up-like environment.
• Self-starter, creative and data-driven thinker, and entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to collaborate and roll sleeves up in a team-based culture.
• Demonstrated dedication with the ability to lead projects from origin through execution.

• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
