DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Litton Entertainment is seeking a creative and motivated individual to work with the development team on a freelance basis. This Development Executive ideates, writes and brings in new projects that align with the Litton brand & mandates and oversees their assigned projects through all phases of development from inception to sale. This person should have a thorough understanding of the unscripted development process, a comprehensive grasp on current market trends and pre-existing relationships with networks/buyers that can be leveraged. Additionally, the Development Executive will:
• Develop and oversee slate of original programming that aligns with Litton's creative global vision and strategy
• Develop and maintain industry relationships
• Bring in potential projects for development through pitches or submissions from outside content creators
• Ideate and write concepts, flesh out show formats & develop presentation decks
• Work with the Development team in analyzing pitches and submissions to determine which projects are appropriate for development
• Create and maintain reports pertinent to development project tracking
• Partner with Post-Production in the editing and delivery of sizzle reels
• Participate in pitches to prospective buyers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to see deals through to completion
• Work with production to transition green lighted projects seamlessly
• Communicate with senior executives regarding strategy, timelines, and creative execution
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working in development and/or production at a network, studio, OTT-provider, or production company - a track record of commissioned sales of self-developed IP is a big plus
• Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and translate them into high-quality TV and/or digital programs
• Strong writing & verbal communication skills a must - a love of language and ability to use multiple voices/tones essential
• Ability to interact and communicate with filmmakers, talent, network executives, etc.
• Willingness and ability to utilize existing relationships within entertainment industry
• Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects and demands concurrently
• Strong time management and creative resource management capabilities
