Summary of Position:
The Assistant, Assets & Unit Publicity will report to the VP, Assets & Unit Publicity to assist in the creation and distribution of assets to promote Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate films worldwide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the VP in all aspects of their job
- Edit photography and ensure the photography meets quality standards
- Organize both video and photo assets for the department
- Service both internal and external requests
- Oversee post production process and delivery of all third party materials
- Maintain and post assets on internal and external websites
- Process invoices, wire transfers, and check requests for applicable vendors
- Liaise with talent reps, external vendors, internal departments and press to keep the department up to date on approvals, requests and deadlines
- Handle digital asset management through archiving including transferring, renaming, captioning
- Assist in publicity events, ie premieres, junkets, press days
- Maintain daily schedules and internal documents
- Light retouching, cropping, editing on imagery and video as needed
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a marketing and publicity capacity - assets/EPK/photography/materials/studio experience preferred
- Minimum 2 year experience using Microsoft Office
- Photoshop, Photo Editing software, DAM software, Editing software like Premiere preferred
- Knowledge of both photo and video file formats
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Communications, or related degree preferred
- Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure
- Strong work ethic
