LIGHTBOX- MANAGER OF DEVELOPMENT JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
Lightbox is seeking an experienced, organized, and highly creative Manager of Development to join their LA team. The chosen candidate will support the LA-based VP of development, and UK based development team, in originating and developing premium factual content for a wide range of networks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the team to originate new ideas.
Assist in research, people-finding, and casting.
Write one-pagers and help in the writing of long form decks.
Pull media, and create paper edit string-outs of casting tapes and sizzles.
Write and format layouts for decks, utilizing programs such as Pages and Keynote.
EXPERIENCE: -
Proven experience as a researcher in development.
Strong writing and formatting skills for one-sheets and decks.
Great instincts at recognizing potential talent, unique untold stories, and a passion for finding unexpected worlds.
A working knowledge of the current unscripted marketplace.
Proficiency at casting interviews and drafting papercuts.
Able to work with both independently and collaboratively with development team members.
Experience working in development at a production company is a plus.
