Job Scope: Post Production Systems Administrator II (NY)
The Post Production Systems Administrator II supports all IT and engineering requests from staff and clients in our New York facility. Applicants must have a minimum 5-6 years of experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work independently, who has excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills. In addition, this person must be able to detect and solve technical and workflow issues that arise throughout the facility. Since the position involves frequent communication with staff and clients, an ideal candidate will also have an approachable and friendly demeanor and will be able to explain technical information to non-technical users. Finally, the ideal candidate must be committed to quality and have a passion for new, cutting edge technologies.
Skills/Experience Required:
Experience installing and supporting computing hardware, operating systems and software:
o Apple OS X
o Microsoft Windows
o Linux
o Avid Media Composer
o Apple Final Cut Pro
o Adobe Creative Suite
Experience administering M&E Storage Area Networks:
o Quantum StorNext
o AVID Nexis and ISIS
o Brocade Fibre switches
Experience supporting the networking and connectivity platforms including the following:
o Firewalls, routing, and VPN
o Network switches, Cisco, Force10, and HP
o KVM switches
o Audio / Video and Control signals and routing, encompassing HD, UHD and 4K
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with post production color and conform systems including and DaVinci Resolve, and Baselight
• Experience with DCI cinema projectors, cinema servers, DVS Clipster, Colorfront Transkoder and multi-channel theater audio
• Experience supporting Client editorial in an creative editorial environment
• Experience with Aspera, Signiant and similar web-based file transport tools
• Experience with cloud based technologies such as GSuite and Amazon S3.
