We are LBI Media, Inc., the largest privately-held, minority-owned Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States with TV and radio stations operating in several top Hispanic markets, parent company of the Estrella TV Network, and the only US based Producer of Spanish-language programming. Position Summary:
The Sales Planner works closely with the Network Sales Account Executives, Traffic and Research teams to develop media proposals for ad space on the Estrella TV network, utilizing all available research, sales and programming sources to meet the network and advertiser needs.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Account Executives to build and recommend client and agency proposals based on demographics and client/agency target audience.
• Prepare all pre and post -analysis; organize research and competitive information and provide recommendations to AEs and sales management for media proposals.
• Manage agency request, sold sponsorships, and integration elements and resolve contract discrepancies.
• Monitor Clients' on air schedules and actively to insure schedule are not under -delivering.
• Work closely with Traffic and Production to ensure timely delivery and scheduling of integrated elements and campaigns.
• Train and support sales coordinators in all aspects of account management, brand allocations, agency requests and stewardship.
• Provide support to Account Executive/management and complete additional projects as directed
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in a related field.
• Familiar with research products: Nielsen and MRI
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be outgoing, organized, and efficient.
• Strategic thinker, detail and customer oriented, with good multi-tasking skills.
• Proficient in MS Office programs, specifically Excel and Powerpoint.
• Dealmaker experience preferred.
• BA/BS preferred in Communications or Public Relations.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York City [no relocation]
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work overtime, holiday or weekends on short notice
• Must be 18 years or older.
