Position Summary:
The Morning Show Producer will be a creative, detail-oriented and self-directed Producer who oversees the making of a radio show to capture the audience's attention as soon as they tune in and keep them engaged.
Responsibilities:
• Produce, organize, write, edit and record content for designated radio and social media sites.
• Monitor and grow ratings by suggesting innovative and creative content.
• Provide creativity, leadership and original ideas for the designated radio show.
• Understand the audience demographic and program to that audience.
• Stay abreast of social media and trending topics and provide creative ideas to incorporate audience-generated contact in program and radio website.
• Oversee the budget and allocation of resources in order to keep the program on budget.
• Engage the listening audience with call in interviews or radio promotional contests.
• Bring together and hire the key staff and talent which will become creative team involved in the project; manage performance issues.
Requirements:
• Ability to generate original ideas and think creatively about program and adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
• Excellent knowledge of the regional Mexican music audience demographic and local market.
• Ability to work with hosts, producers, On Air Personality, Talent and agents.
• Excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented.
• Proficient computer experience (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint); adept at maintaining databases and documents.
• Social media skills and web knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment, meets tight deadlines, and handles multiple tasks.
• Excellent communications skills; ability to read, write and speak Spanish.
• Bachelor degree preferred and/or minimum 1 year experience in Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Ability to work weekends, overnights, holidays and special promotional events as needed.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Houston, TX.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to work overtime on short notice.
• Must be 18 years or older.
