Position Summary:
The Make-Up Artist is responsible for applying make-up for all the talent, including touch-ups and keep complete control of the set for Estrella TV's live and pre-recorded programs, including, but not limited to; Noches Con Platanito, Alarma TV , National and Local News, En Vivo, En Vivo National, Tengo Talento Mucho Talento, Buenos dias Familia, Rica Famosa Latina and iTestigo. The Make-Up Artist is responsible for bringing all the necessary equipment, material and tools in order to do professional work. May also style hair.
Responsibilities:
• Apply makeup to clients using a color palette and different tools such as mascara, sponges, eyebrow shapers, lip liners, brushes, and applicators.
• Work with clients to create various looks.
• Work on various productions, photography shoots, backstage at concerts, or on commercials.
• Style hair according to makeup.
• Apply touchups as necessary.
• Ensure makeup looks natural and well-applied under different lighting.
• Match skin color to color palettes to determine best looks.
• Work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Maintain awareness of health and safety issues and regulation
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 to 4 years in TV Production, Theater, or Commercials
• Make-Up Certification required
• Cosmetology License is a plus
• Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure fast paced environment, usually with tight and changing deadlines.
• Bilingual: Fluency in written & spoken English/Spanish is mandatory.
• Familiar with High Definition (HD) Techniques, Air Brush face and body required
• Provide excellent customer service
• Ability to work independently and as part as a team
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Burbank, CA. [no relocations]
• Must be willing to work long hours, holidays, overnight and weekends on short notice.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
• Must possess valid CA Driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older
