New York City based boutique entertainment/media law firm with clients including producers, filmmakers, writers, financiers, distributors and individual productions in the film, television and digital platforms is seeking a seasoned Manager of Business & Legal Affairs to work in tandem with the firm's principal. This position will have day-to-day business and legal affairs responsibilities such as the analysis, review, drafting and revision of agreements relating to chain of title, development, financing, production, licensing and exploitation of clients' projects as well as general legal and corporate matters. The ideal candidate is a self-starter; with the ability to work well under pressure; meet tight deadlines; manage multiple projects and expectations; possess precise attention to detail, and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience at a law firm, studio, agency or production company strongly preferred. A law degree is not required, though experience as a paralegal or in another legal capacity is a plus. Perfect for someone interested in transitioning to a more hands on role in entertainment law. This is not an entry level position. Compensation DOE. Start date is approximately mid-June.
