JOB TITLE: FULL TIME RECEPTIONIST
DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
DUTIES: Primary responsibilities include answering phones, directing callers to appropriate staff and departments. Additionally the Receptionist provides program information to our viewers in a clear, concise and professional manner. Viewer information requests will include detail on the KTLA program schedule, News stories as well as potential inquiries related to technical or distribution issues. Most often the Receptionist is the first employee to greet our guests and talk to our viewers. Interaction on the phone and in-person must at all times be friendly and professional. The Receptionist must take pride in their appearance and adhere to the company dress code policy of business casual. Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication and organizational skills and be able to work independently. The Receptionist works with all departments and assists in various ways, including but not limited to scheduling internal meetings, filing, assisting departments with administrative duties and maintaining office supplies as needed. The Receptionist is responsible for maintaining a neat, clean and organized workspace which extends to the reception lobby. Other general clerical duties and miscellaneous tasks may be included as required.
REQUIREMENTS: 1-2 years of clerical, administrative or receptionist experience required.
Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills. Impeccable multi-tasking
and problem-solving abilities. Positive and enthusiastic personality
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personalities. Priority
on customer satisfaction. Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel,
Microsoft Word, and Outlook required. BA degree in
Communications, Television Production or commensurate experience in a
related field. Familiarization and basic knowledge of television
station operations and processes a plus.
