The Operations Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating facility/office activities to assure operational effectiveness and efficiency. Coordinates project assignments, controls the activities of service providers engaged in maintenance, engineering, production, as well as interface for the company with landlord, and be interface with all Tenant business units for their needs. Must have a 'customer-first' approach to the work, be able to interface comfortably with staff at all organizational levels and maintain an overall pleasant environment.
•Manage projects from inception to completion, adhering to timeline and budget requirements as set forth. Oversees the coordination of office space allocation and layout, moves, reconfigurations; should be able to read and decipher basic floor and construction plans
•Coordination of repairs and physical moving of furniture, workstations and offices
•Oversee / initiate building management work order requests via electronic tenant portal, and arrange for necessary maintenance and repair work with outside vendors as required
•Resolves building maintenance issues, working directly with staff, property management and building engineer
•Training & updating emergency evacuation procedures per City of Chicago Fire Code. Construct, and execute business unit safety plans
•Special Events Production Coordinator
•Cable/Sat TV Service Liaison
•Other Station operational support and responsibilities as designated
5 + years of relevant experience
•Customer service approach - excellent relationship management skills and communications ability (Internal and External)
•Detail oriented, well organized, and commitment to successfully complete tasks
•Ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises
•Thorough working knowledge of company procedures and practices
•Ability to work without direct supervision
•Ability to work well under pressure
•Knowledge of and experience with project management, construction, repairs and maintenance
•Ability to multi task
•Good oral, written, presentation, and computer skills. Proficiency with Excel required
•Strong leadership skills a must
•Creative mind with the ability to suggest and implement efficiencies and improvements
