Job Summary:
Responsibilities
include working with the Manager, Content to develop ideas for Royals digital platforms and producing them, including but not limited to social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and royals.com.
Accountabilities:
• Assist with production work, including revising, formatting, and resizing assets for use on multiple platforms
• Work with Creative team to craft engaging animations from existing assets, such as logos, textures, fonts, and patterns that are consistent with the branding and campaign theme of the season
• Work with internal digital and creative team to strategize and develop engaging, behind-the-scenes, viral video content for Royals social platforms from concept to execution
• Shoot, edit, and distribute video content to appropriate departments
• Maintain digital video archive
• Collaborate with social team on streaming live produced video (round table interviews, BP, press conference, etc.)
• Full understanding of each social media platform and its capabilities while staying on top of trends and advancements
• Collaborate with MLB Advanced Media as necessary
• Research strategies of other MLB teams and other professional sports
• Other duties as necessary
Requirements: INCLUDE A LINK TO YOUR PRODUCTION REAL AND OTHER RELEVANT CLIPS WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years professional work experience (sports/entertainment preferred) shooting and editing videos
• Expert knowledge of cinematic style digital cameras and lenses
• Expert knowledge of the following Adobe Creative Suite programs: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D. Any other motion design proficiency is a plus
• Knowledge in Photoshop or Lightroom is a plus
• Expert knowledge of situational lighting (interviews, green screens, etc.)
• Experience with file-based production and post-graduation workflows
• Demonstrated ability to operate a camera and capture sound
• Demonstrated ability to conduct on-camera interviews
• Proficient in existing social platforms and emerging social channels
• Ability to collaborate on projects with multiple departments
• Knowledge of baseball and the Kansas City royals preferred
• Available to work holidays, evenings, and weekends in addition to scheduled work week of Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM
• Ability to work in outside elements including heat, rain, cold, and snow
• Occasional travel may be necessary
• Required to stand for long periods of time, walking long distances, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Spanish language skills preferred
