Just For Laughs (JFL) is seeking an experienced, strategic and comedy-minded individual to lead its social media efforts. JFL is a giant in the comedy festival world and we're looking to bring that level of notoriety to the digital space.
This position will be responsible for managing and driving linear tune-in, engagement and social video views for maximum reach, relevance, and effectiveness across JFL's various brands.
In addition to planning and maintaining a weekly content calendar, this person should also be looking at larger-scope plans to drive buzz and viewership for both library and original content.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and act as the voice of the company's various brands across social media communities including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
- Work with the Digital Director and Project Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of JFL's social media and content roadmap
- Regularly analyze and report on performance of campaigns
- Manage JFL's various YouTube channels and engage with those communities to increase viewership and subscribers by uploading videos, writing metadata and performing regular updates
- Develop engaging assets using Photoshop and Premiere
Manage and collaborate with Social Media Editor
Qualifications/Experience
- Must be fluent in all social platforms, incl. engagement best practices, formats, specs and paid campaigns
- 3-4 years experience managing social accounts for a publisher or brand with a comedic voice
- Comfortable with generating performance reports and coordination - account management experience a plus
- Experience working with creative teams, especially video editors and designers
- Must be fluent in Photoshop and have a keen eye for memes
- Strong comedy writing skills
- Must work well under pressure and tight deadlines
