Description
The Line Producer is responsible for overseeing the production management aspects at Jukin Media. In this role, the Line Producer will lead the strategic planning, financial, logistics and operational aspects of production, from pre-production to delivery of final assets. This position interfaces with the internal stakeholders including production, brands, sales and business development teams, finance, legal, HR, and external partners including talent, crew, producers, content distributors and payroll service providers.
This position reports to the Head of Production and is based in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
Manage all production and post-production schedules in accordance with approved budgets and platform delivery deadlines
Track and report production spend, evaluate overage requests, propose recommendations for budget changes to meet internal targets
Create and track spending as part of the RFP process for Ad Sales, within a tight turnaround
Complete project actualizations for all completed projects
Interface with internal stakeholders and external partners to evaluate projects from a production perspective and provide internal budget forecasting and target budgets
Access production risk and advise on locations, insurance, crew, etc.
Negotiate and set all production staff rates
Proactively track delivery milestones and identify and resolve production complications in a timely manner
Lead communications regarding production matters throughout project lifecycle to ensure internal partners are always aligned
Manage production support staff
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a line producer - or production manager experience with strong budgeting skills
Strong knowledge of all aspects of physical production, from pre-production through post and delivery
Strong experience of production budgets, crew rates, union rates and rules, production locations, and market trends
Software experience including Excel and MoveMagic budgeting is mandatory
Meticulous attention to detail and overall product quality
Great business judgment, proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal communication skills - you're able to articulate the creative vision to the production staff
Excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment with multi-disciplinary teams
