Management and Public Relations Coordinator

Joy Fehily Management + Consulting is seeking a Management and Public Relations Coordinator to support two executives with responsibilities focusing on personal talent management, public relations and brand strategy. Candidate must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines on multiple running projects, have strong attention to detail, exhibit strong interpersonal and writing skills, exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential information and be an all-around go-getter.
Career Level: Entry
Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain and coordinate calendars for two executives and their clients
• Answer executives' phones, roll calls, take messages
• Provide support tasks including setting up conference calls, meetings, taking notes, manage budgets and billings and other assignments as required
• Create detailed client press schedules/itineraries
• Monitor and service press clippings for clients, create/maintain coverage reports and grids
• Handle incoming press requests, draft press and interview memos
• Ongoing maintenance and update media lists
• Review and edit press materials including press releases, client bios, boilerplates
• Ensure press kits are current
• Responsive and informative client/industry interaction via phone and e-mail
• Shadow client events, photoshoots, press junkets and other publicity/management related activities
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications/Public Relations/Journalism
• 1+ year of experience working full-time in entertainment or communications
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Interested candidate must submit a resume
• Willingness to travel, work overtime and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Beverly Hills, CA
Desired Characteristics:
• Experience working with talent, production companies or agencies
• Proficient in Muck Rack, Cision, IMDbPro and other entertainment research-based programs
• Professional, yet friendly people skills
• Superior organization skills, ability to juggle and meet numerous deadlines, high attention to detail
• Responsive and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful
• Punctuality and reliability
• Excellent understanding of social media
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and needs to be able to work both independently and with a team
• Experience coordinating multiple projects with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
