Intern - Development

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

We are seeking several highly competent, motivated individuals with great attitudes to start IMMEDIATELY as Creative Development/Production interns at Jane Startz Productions, where we have an exciting and ever-growing feature film and television slate. Jane Startz's credits include ELLA ENCHANTED, TUCK EVERLASTING, THE MIGHTY, THE INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD, THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS, and many others. Presently we have a range of projects -- dramas, comedies, thrillers, fantasy tentpoles, animated features -- set up with major studios, networks and/or independent financing.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, writing coverage for scripts and books, coordinating incoming/outgoing submissions, creating writer/director lists, and helping to run daily operations (manning phones, scheduling meetings, organizing files). We are also currently in pre-production for a tv series for a major cable network that interns will be assigned related duties.

Candidates should be detailed-oriented, great with people, strong writers and communicators, computer savvy, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The opportunity is unpaid, but there is growth potential and strong industry ties to be made. We also help students earn course credits.
