POSITION PURPOSE:
Provide administrative support to the Local office as needed. Performs all basic clerical and office tasks including coordinating projects, drafting and preparing correspondence, and other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management and support staff.
• Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: telephone reception, photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing and monitoring the general email inbox for Local office.
• Assists with membership related duties including; preparation of new member kits, cast clearance processing, Taft-Hartley database input, production information updates in database, handling performer checks/payroll reports/health and retirement checks for all productions and assisting with filing of late penalties.
• Administers student films.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Able to work well independently and with proper follow through.
• Able to capably handle incoming telephone lines.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, with exceptional verbal, written, & presentation skills.
• Able to accurately type 35 WPM.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
• Hold yourself and others accountable to a high level of performance and integrity.
• Detail and results oriented with focus on internal and external client follow-up.
• Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
• Must be able to work in a very challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA's sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma, administrative assistant and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
Basic skills: spelling, math, grammar and filing - passing score: 76%
Microsoft Word and Excel tests (basic, intermediate and advanced) - passing score: 76%
Typing test 35 WPM
Writing test
