This is a Full Time Job
The Regional Director will be responsible for overseeing the management of events and staff in the mid-west region of the United States including all aspects of marketing, sales and PR for over 70 live events per year. S/he will manage a staff of senior and junior Live Event Representatives who handle televised and non-televised live events. The RD will provide strategic management and continuity between events and markets in the region both in scheduling and marketing.
Responsibilities:
* Recommend scaling and pricing for events
* Craft and execute sales and marketing strategies, and develop and implement media and advertising campaigns
* Work with creative team to develop custom creative strategies for each market in the mid-west region
* Manage event planning and execution with respect to events
* Manage one or more Live Event Representatives in the region
* Build and develop positive relationships with media, business, community, and political leaders in each market, as well as venues and other local partners
* Develop partnerships with third parties for cash and media sponsorships
* On an ongoing basis, continue to develop a comprehensive understanding of the culture and demographics of each market in the region
* Develop and adjust strategies to leverage peek sales opportunity times and best manage challenges in the markets
* Create and analyze various reports on event sales and trends
* Keep managers and colleagues up to date on all issues affecting the region
* Work with Event Booking team on booking and scheduling events in the region
* Accompany Talent at various events
* Act swiftly to address urgent, sensitive and/or confidential matters relating to Talent
Qualifications:
* 7 - 10 years experience in entertainment live event marketing
* In depth knowledge of western region markets
* Hands on media buying experience
* Self motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results
* Excellent leadership, management, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Able to work professionally and effectively with Talent
* Able to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 30% of the time
* College degree in Business/Sports Management/Marketing or related field preferred
* Strong computer skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
