Manager, Web Design and Programming

Wind-up Records is searching for a Manager, Web Design + Programming to join their team. This is a full time position based in the company's New York City offices. Salary and benefits are competitive and based on experience.

Applicants will be required to present real world project examples clearly illustrating their contributions to the projects to showcase their experience and past work. Applicants will also be required to provide client and/or employer references.

Responsibilities
Ongoing maintenance of the site(s) including content tagging, site updates, and on-site and cross channel promotions
Produce high quality design that represents the user experience defined in functional specs
Translate concepts and ideas into viable design concepts
Take creative concepts for websites, album packaging, merchandise, and other design projects developed by art director and senior staff and help design variations, additional creative assets, revisions, print-ready files, etc
Optimize and create graphics for the web
Integrate third party and proprietary applications
Create and implement promotional offers, testing effectiveness across all channels: Email, PPC, SEO, Affiliate, Banner Ads on external sites, etc
Design Email and Banner Ads for various online partners
Design and program compelling splash pages for tour promotions and various other marketing highlights
Get involved in identifying and prioritizing new features & functionality, for internet trends and social media, with the constant changes in internet capabilities.
Refresh all web pages on an as needed basis and based on attending marketing meetings, marketing dept. needs

Qualifications
2+ years professional experience
Strong HTML and CSS skills (HTML5 / CSS3 experience a plus) capabilities of web browsers, and design-specific Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Have a creative eye and excellent design and communication skills
Experience with WordPress and other CMS platforms
WordPress custom CMS development experience
Extensive knowledge of WP custom theme development
Knowledge of WP custom plugin development a plus
Experience with cross-browser and mobile optimizations
Passionate about design and have an interest in emerging technologies
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment on multiple projects
Must also be able to work independently and self-directed while being highly motivated, fast, precise, accountable and passionate
Development skills (PHP5 OOP, Javascript, MySQL)
Proficiency with common digital design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
Skilled knowledge of basic web design languages and technologies, i.e. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc
Experience with the integration and implementation of 3rd party APIs and applications
