nuvoTV is looking for an experienced Creative Director to represent the company’s brand identity on-air, online, print and all other mediums. This highly visible position will interact with all departments of the organization, understanding and translating department/client needs. Ideal candidate will be hands on with respect to project management, production, design and administration.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Service all company departments by creating, building and maintaining brand integrity for Marketing, Affiliate Sales & Marketing, Ad Sales, etc.
Manage staff and freelance talent for on-air and print initiatives, including network identity, on-air promo design, short form and other content branding. Also act as creative liaison, responsible for recruiting and managing third party design firms as well as internal design resources.
Lead creative sessions for project kick-offs.
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion.
Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet business objectives of the organization and that advance the brand strategy.
Establish creative direction and branding for the entire line of entertainment properties.
Supervise, inspire and mentor a creative team of art directors, designers and animators.
Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals.
Provide quality control over concepts and projects.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design (graduate degree preferred)
Minimum 4 years management experience working with large-scale entertainment media branding
Must possess a thorough understanding of digital communications and delivery systems, as well as industry best practices
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, motion graphics and web development; must have the ability to storyboard and translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions
A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process
Animation, Print and web design capabilities; must fully understand all media for integrated campaigns
Ability to lead projects from concept to completion
Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Experience with Adobe AfterEffects & video editing is a plus
Ability to make evaluative judgments
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
Must have a genuine interest and passion for all things pop-culture
