This is a Full Time Job
Meet or exceed assigned revenue budget in a manner that will reflect the highest level of professional standards and skills while selling and servicing Adelante Media Radio & TV accounts in conformity with company policies and procedures.
1. Meets annual revenue goals and help achieve team budgets and objectives. Maintain a system for tracking process in meeting established goals. Excel in new business development and in generating new dollars for the station. Accurately project pending business on an ongoing basis.
2. Ensure that the handling of the present and future accounts is done in a prompt and efficient manner to ensure client retention.
3. Maintain a working schedule that allows maximum time to devote to new calls. The adequate number is to be determined with manager.
4. Help assure rate integrity and obtain credit approval for all new accounts. Obtains approvals before airing from manager.
5. Distinguishes him/herself by providing excellent service, research, training, and overall competency. Consistently develops effective relations with buyers and key decision-makers in order to meet client and company expectations.
6. Acts as an effective team member when generating revenue sales for the company.
7. Participates in weekly meetings with the immediate supervisors.
8. Train with various sales managers so that knowledge and abilities are up to date. This position will go through an initial four-week on-line training period, and will be expected to continually train so that they are current in the practices of both industries.
9. Constantly study and keep informed concerning competitive and industry practices, rates, ratings, etc. in order to give clients accurate information and aid. Take classes and participate in learning opportunities both within and outside the company as needed.
10. Keep supervisor and sales manager informed of all competitive problems. Work with all station staff members to help each one better service Adelante Media Group accounts. Attend and be punctual at regular sales staff meetings
11. Responsible to secure all necessary credit information about the advertiser. Also responsible for past due account collections. CIA is anticipated, unless credit has been established or extended to clients via Business Manager.
12. It is beneficial to be bilingual in English/Spanish to help promote one’s success, however, it is not required,
13. Keep billing adjustments to a minimum. This will be avoided by following company policies and Business Manager/General Manager prior approval.
14. Work toward maintaining unity within Local Sales team by assisting with promotions, productions and other areas of coordination for Local Sales.
15. Must sign an Adelante Media Group Account Executive Agreement form.
16. Maximum amount of cash packages.
17. Valid driver's license and proven ability to safely drive company vehicle or personal vehicle (as case may be) without exposing the company to serious liability risks.
18. Able to manage stress effectively.
19. Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
20. Work effectively in a team environment.
21. Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with staff, management, and clients.
22. Consistently works hours required. Works more when required to meet deadlines and events, including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.
23. Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
24. Other duties as assigned.
