Assistant Manager, Marketing - Home Entertainment
This role works with closely with the Director and Manager as they interact with SPT, network partnerships and marketing support teams; creative services, publicity, added value, asset management, digital marketing, and media as well as with various levels of the sales group to support the Electronic Sell-Through (EST) initiatives, TV on DVD and catalog movie Blu ray and DVD releases. This role helps prepare and coordinate market, shopper and customer insights, helps with effective ‘Go To Market’ strategies and is part of a team that will deliver robust business plans.
The Assistant Manager of Catalog & Television, is responsible for product management and coordination of marketing initiatives that are fully aligned with customer objectives and on plan to meet/exceed SPHE gross profit target for the US and Canada.
Assistant Management of Catalog & Television Release Schedule & Marketing
Working closely with Product Manager and Director of Marketing for this area, this position is responsible for helping the team program all current television series, movies-of-the-week (MOWs), mini-series, licensing partner approvals, as well as all new-to-format catalog titles
Draft product positioning and strategic overview plans in a timely manner (including project overview, creative briefs, trade and consumer marketing materials, P&Ls, and more) and populate the relevant schedules
Assist in the research of competitive benchmarking on all new series for pilot green light season (including for ultimate requests with finance) and post pilot pick-ups providing detailed analysis of like product in the market
Works closely with the product manager as they prepare titles for release by driving required tactics with cross-departmental groups; added-value, legal, publicity, digital marketing, media, promotions and the sales executives
Provide post mortem analysis as needed
Project marketing coordination
Research, draft and prepare the marketing materials required to present product to the sales team including Videoscan reporting, PPT Webx preparation, ad hoc sales reports, and doing background research
Work with the title management team directly to ensure every release is properly inputed in Prism and that all schedules are showing the necessary information and latest changes
Manage various components of marketing and advertising materials related to the product release schedule including providing direction to the creative services team and vendors
Work closely with Shopper Marketing team on customer-specific product lines providing key product details, sku information, title history and communicate to wider team
Prepare PowerPoint presentations for recurring meetings with television and sales groups
Demonstrate and promote SPHE values of Teamwork, Trust and Innovation
Knowledge:
Considerable experience gained within the Home Entertainment or fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
Experience with and working knowledge of trade environment essential.

Experience:
Typically 8 years in the Entertainment / FMCG Business
Mininum 2-3 years of television experience preferred
Typically 3-5 years managerial experience including assigning and overseeing performance
