The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for various aspects of accounting and financial reporting for all business segments of Sony Pictures Television (SPT). The accounting and financial reporting includes, but is not limited to, assistance in the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal/external reporting; providing project support for various financial and operational initiatives as directed by Management; and coordinating with Corporate accounting, budget/forecast groups, and other key departments in order to resolve key reporting, technical and accounting issues.
Monitor revenue recognition for network, cable, syndicated & third party sales contracts
Monitor & complete monthly close work program & checklists.
Review & document procedures in accordance with SOX and provide requested documentation during the audit.
Prepare schedules/reports for the monthly close packages (budget/forecast/actuals), including P&L, EBIT analysis, Flash, and account reconciliations
Prepare and review journal entries and provide corresponding source documentation
Prepare financial analyses and reconciliations for P&L related accounts
Complete special projects for financial and operating management
Provide reporting to third parties and other internal groups, as necessary
Provide management support to ensure month-end close is completed timely and accurately.
Prepare vendor payment requests and coordinate payments with Accounts Payable
Contribute to / enhance SPT consolidated accounting / financial reporting and work flows
Provide management support with coordination of quarterly external audits
Monitor SPE-Intercompany activity and balances including research and resolution of out-of-balance accounts, confirmation of monthly balances
Assist in the preparation of all tax packages and requests from tax department
Required Skills:

Detail-oriented; strong organizational, analytical and PC skills
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience Required:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Four year accounting/finance degree required
Four + years public and/or private accounting/finance experience required (CPA preferred)
Entertainment experience preferred
Strong MS Excel and mainframe computer system skills
SAP knowledge preferred
