Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Programming & Acquisitions, this position is responsible for helping improve PPV & VOD performance by analyzing all competitive offerings, shelf positioning, EPG data marketing, and competitive network scheduling strategies. Position will specifically focus on optimizing PPV product but will also assist with VOD content analysis, shelf space audits, and various other data related analyses.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review all competitive television network schedules to analyze air patterns and content usage. Use data gathered to determine competitive strategy and make recommendations to optimize PPV performance.
2. Analyze existing PPV and VOD shelf positioning across all MSO’s on a monthly basis, review changes, maintain updated matrix, and submit reports and suggestions to management.
3. Analyze all existing competitive linear online marketing campaigns, review changes, and suggest best practices to management.
4. Compare and contrast the company’s existing network performance and strategy (premieres, scheduling, promotion, marketing) to the current PPV and VOD competitive landscape.
5. Working closely with the VOD Planning & Marketing Analyst and VOD Specialist to exchange ideas, conduct audits, and review findings.
6. Review all EPG metadata (titling, program descriptions, etc.) and make ongoing recommendations to remain competitive and improve performance.
7. Use Rentrak On Demand to create necessary reports, including performance data, genre popularity, and title analyses.
8. Point person for all data on competitive network programming.
9. Familiar with all of the company’s PPV networks, VOD products, original programming, strategy and planning

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of four years experience in the cable television industry And 3 years experience in a research or analytics role with exposure to SWOT analysis and acquiring large amounts of diverse information to synthesize into simple conclusions. A self-starter with excellent communication skills and strong solid Microsoft Office knowledge. Must be an Excel power user. Additional organizational skills and general administrative experience required, with strong attention to detail.
