We are looking for a full time professional Assistant Editor with a comedy background to assemble multiple pieces of comedic short form content every week for their massively popular top 50 YouTube channel.
The ideal candidate must be an expert at assistant editing both unscripted interview style series (look up KIDS REACT on YouTube to get a sense of what you will be editing) as well as narrative scripted comedy, and not have issues with their work being re-worked and changed once it’s completed as we are perfectionists.

Founders of the company are one of new media’s earliest pioneers creating content online for more than 7 years. Clients include Comedy Central, Warner Brothers, Burger King, BBC, HP, Axe Body Spray, Just For Laughs and more, and have well over 100 million views across their library of content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assistant Editing full time
• May require you to work graveyard shifts on certain days to prepare footage for editors when they arrive in the AM
• IMPORTANT - MUST have your own editing computer
• Must be an expert in Final Cut Pro.
• Must have reliable transportation. You will need to be coming to and from our office in North Hollywood area.
• Working directly with us to meet deadlines and work on revisions. You will be assembling and editing 5 days a week.
Core Competencies/Qualifications:
• Expertise in all aspects of Final Cut Pro (file organization, transcoding, dumping footage and editing etc.)
• Strong understanding of post production workflow with DSLR and RED
• Abilities as a graphic artist and special FX work a HUGE plus to the position.
• Proficiency is Photoshop, After Effects, Motion, or other programs that assist various aspects of post production also a HUGE plus to the position.
• Proven experience as an editor of film/video content. Need to show examples.
• Excellent organizational skills.
