Assistant Editor/Production

This is a Full Time Job

Online teen social network and production company seeks a full time entry level assistant editor to aid with the edit of multiple pieces of short form content every week. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task and are ambitious with the passion to learn while working. The ideal candidate must be comfortable editing unscripted interview style series, with ability to assist with content management, graphic design, logging footage, compression, as well as various aspects of web video production. Great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of producing video content for the web and to work with a creative team on fun and exciting projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Full time position - 5 days a week M-F
• Archiving footage and maintaining database
• Assembling timelines and edit projects
• Must have reliable transportation
• Opportunity to learn physical production and camera work

Core Competencies/Qualifications:
• Knowledge in all aspects of Final Cut Pro (file organization, color correction, sound mixing, etc.)
• Abilities as a graphic artist and special FX work a HUGE plus to the position
• Proficiency is Photoshop, After Effects, Motion, or other programs that assist various aspects of post production also a HUGE plus to the position
• Proven experience as an editor of film/video content. Need to show examples.
• Excellent organizational skills
• This is an entry level position for someone with great knowledge and the willingness to learn and grow.
