Spring Semester Internship – Music Business
Successful Independent Record Label (Eleven Seven Records) and Artist Management Company (Tenth Street Entertainment) is looking for interns for the spring semester. Our client list includes: Motley Crue, Blondie, Sixx A.M., Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Eve, Crossfade and more. We are seeking interns in the Accounting, Digital Marketing, Tour Marketing, and Radio Departments.
The ideal candidates should be currently enrolled in college studying marketing, business, finance, or accounting. The individual should be well-organized, hard working, self- sufficient, extremely reliable, love music, and want to work in an open creative environment. This is a chance to work on projects for high profile artist and learn how a management company and record label run on a daily basis.
Accounting Intern-
Main responsibilities include assisting the director of finance with accounts payable, account analysis, business management and music industry accounting. You will also work with radio, publicity, and touring departments and in house record label.
Digital Marketing Intern-
Main responsibilities include researching entertainment and music blogs in local markets, maintaining outreach database, and overall support to the digital marketing department. You will need to be organized and have strong research skills.
Tour Marketing Intern-
Main responsibilities include assisting the director of tour marketing in reviewing marketing plans, radio proposals, and print ads. You will be making phone calls with the director and on behalf of the director to promoters and marketers from across the world. You will also work with the new media, publicity and in house record label.
Radio Intern-
Main responsibilities include assisting the radio department with station promotions and contesting, mailings, station research and outreach, and overall department support. You will be working closely with the other departments, particularly accounting and the record label.
For all positions requirements are as follows:
- Ability to work independently and take initiative as well as work closely with a group
- Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Professional demeanor in dealing with people and clients
- Must be discrete and maintain absolute confidentiality as this position regularly handles sensitive information.
- Must be able to interact with people of all levels within and outside the company with poise and professionalism.
- Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
