Deluxe Digital Studios (DDS) is a leading supplier of DVD, Blu-ray, BD Live, and digital distribution post production services, including subtitling and localization, video compression, encoding, authoring, menu design, bonus content production, audio, and network services. We provide theatrical dubbing services, as well as point-of-purchase creative displays. DDS is a global company with presence in 6 countries. Our clients include the major Hollywood studios as well as a growing number of on-line retailers. The position is located in Burbank, California.

Position Overview

Deluxe Creative, the creative division within Deluxe Digital Studios is looking for a Sr. Art Director to lead a team of 15+ design artists to develop winning home entertainment campaigns (comprised of menu design, interactive content, user interface design and traditional content).


Primary Responsibilities

• Guide creative design team (motion, static and 3D artists) through the creative conception and execution process.
• Provide artistic direction and help build and lead team to align with creative department’s vision.
• Oversee schedule and workflow.
• Mentor, train and develop other artists.
• Contribute to the development of the creative team’s culture and establish the highest standard of design.
• Work with producers to make sure the client’s needs are being met and the creative direction and design are on track.
• Monitor the design work to assure consistency and quality.
• Expect and demonstrate the highest level of job commitment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:

• BA Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or related area of study.
• 5+ years experience as a Graphic Designer.
• Previous Art Director or creative leadership experience.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to effectively lead work on multiple projects in various phases and under tight deadlines.
• Ability to inspire overall design across a range of projects.
• Work with the producing team to understand objectives and have the ability to translate them into design solutions.
