American Music & Sound (AM&S) is the leading independent distributor of Pro Audio, Music Creation, and Musical Instrument products from the world's finest manufacturers.
JOB PURPOSE
The CAD Audio Sales Manager is responsible for supporting all distributors, sales representatives, dealers and end users for CAD Audio products worldwide. This position reports directly to the President of American Music and Sound.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
• #1 responsibility is the achievement of sales and margin goals;
• Monthly reporting of sales achievement;
• A minimum of 50% travel is required;
• Conduct regular demonstrations of product with technically advanced AV presentation;
• Management and motivation of all sales channels;
• Continual education of key accounts and consultants;
• Gather competitive data and generate comparative analysis of our existing and new products compared to the competition;
• Provide training curriculum to teach resale partners on how sell, demo, configure, and install systems;
• In-field sales support;
• Distribute and implement sales kits;
• Gather information and requests for needed features and enhancements to current product and relay to CAD Audio;
• Help plan and actively participate in trade shows and relevant industry and entertainment events;
• Organize coordinate and conduct training events in partnership with key accounts and sales partners;
• Travel with Sales Reps as required for dealer trainings or sales trips;
• Interface directly with dealers, design engineers, end users and consultants in helping them to design and implement our products and systems;
• Be responsible for specific projects from the initial quoting and design stage to final end user acceptance;
• Devise and promote specific sales promotions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Thorough working knowledge of microphone technology (wired and wireless) and applications in, recording, live and install;
• Field sales experience of 5 to 7 years preferably in the Pro Audio Industry with relevant industry relationships in the territory;
• Strong understanding of AM&S range of products and the Pro Audio Industry;
• Experience in forecasting and budgeting to reach sales goals;
• Excellent working skills with Microsoft Office;
• Knowledge and use of advanced selling skills, including consultative selling and use of relationship selling, and executive selling;
• Demonstrates executive selling skills, including ability to gain access to key decision-makers;
• Ability to negotiate and close the sale in a minimum amount of time.
