Updated for Summer beginning July 29. Fall interns will be accepted as well Beginning September.
My interns have gone on to positions with major agencies. Unlike other internships you won't just sit at a desk and answer a phone. You will learn every thing I know. I started my agency from the ground up with 0 relationships 5 years ago. Nothing has been spoon fed to me like the others. If you want to learn this business for real, this is the internship opportunity you have been looking for. Also, it's a telecommuter set up. I've built my office entirely online so you don't need to commute to the office in Century City, you just need solid internet and a fast computer.
College Credit: I have filled out the intern paperwork with most universities. Your hours are accounted for and your review is completed at the end of your 8 week learning block and turned in to your advisor.
The following learning blocks are available:
10am-2pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday
2pm-6pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday
8am-12pm Tues, Thursday, Friday
2pm-6pm: Tues, Thursday, Friday
What you WILL learn:
Day-to-day Agency Operations and Administration
How to be an Agent's Assistant
How to submit to casting directors
How to build relationships with production companies
How to research industry professionals
How to develop a client
How to review client contracts
Grooming for Junior Agent
Talent Scouting: The good, the bad, the ugly.
University Showcases: When in season
Basic Social Media management and posting
Characteristics needed:
A reliable, punctual, professional, and coachable person. I take time out of my day to teach you the business, so all I ask is that only those apply who really want to LEARN the business. When you aren't on-time, you affect my schedule. So please consider your learning style, and learning habits before submitting.
