Search for Assistant Editor / Post Coordinator jobs in Santa Monica-CA
Responsibilities:
Maintain all post-production / editorial equipment (incl. editing bays, hard drives, cables, laptop computers) ensuring that all equipment is running optimally at all times.
Takes ownership of the post-production process- keeps ongoing list of to-dos/action items, and anticipates/plans for upcoming/future needs. Prioritizing tasks as they come in.
Documentary experience required. Ability to conduct research for projects including digging for archival material, music, etc.
Maintain clean/organized work spaces (both digital and physical space) for editorial team.
Makes it a point to connect/communicate effectively with producers/directors/editors on a consistent basis to ensure that post-production needs are being met.
Ability to work with editorial team to conduct clip + music clearance (knowledge of fair use clearance spreadsheets and music cue sheets is a must)
Act as post liaison and prep materials and equipment (DIT laptops, drives, etc.) accordingly for film shoots.
Qualifications:
Expert with the following software: Adobe Suite (highly preferred with Team Project knowledge), Google Suite, Frame.io, Microsoft Suite, Dropbox, Avid Pro Tools, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve
Proficient understanding and ability to maintain NAS servers
Minimum 3-4 year experience as an Assistant Editor
Is proactive and exhibits a ''can-do'' attitude
