Salary: $72,000 - $80,000
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Probation: 30 days/1 month
Location: Remote Position, HQ in Los Angeles, CA
Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental (covered 100%), 11 holidays, 2 weeks vacation
Position Summary. Reporting to the Director, Brand Marketing, Content & Creative, the Graphic Designer is a manager level position with a primary function to support both on and offline content demands of the It Gets Better Project as prioritized by the Marketing & Media team. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, presentations and educational materials, print and digital advertising, social media campaigns, event signage and flyers, merchandise, email and website visuals.
- Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
- Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
- Maintain the creative direction, as established by the Director, Brand Marketing, Content & Creative, for the It Gets Better Project, as well as ensure adherence of brand guidelines.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
- Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
- Stay connected and informed about the design styles and trends relevant to youth populations
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (3-5 years), in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field.
- Strong commitment to the It Gets Better Project's mission
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software
- Strong organizational, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to communicate timelines and deadlines and set reasonable expectations for delivery.
