The PR Manager will be an integral part of the core team at Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment studio. Your role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Publicity and drive all publicity efforts across a curated collection of immersive entertainment experiences at an award-winning studio.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategy, Communication, and Project Management are key words for the PR Manager. On any given day, you might:
• In concert with Sr Manager, support ILMxLAB thought leadership strategy, covering talks/panels/events from strategic recommendations to execution.
• Identify and conduct proactive press pitches and outreach on a regular basis.
• Plan and manage media days and other press efforts as required.
• Coordinate with Lucasfilm, ILM, and Disney PR teams for approvals as needed.
• Drive panel organization: crafting outlines, researching and vetting moderators, coaching panelists, and managing the onsite needs for the panel itself.
• Draft press releases, media alerts, and original articles for ILMxLAB.com blog.
• Run all briefing efforts for spokespeople for interviews, media days, and more.
• Identify awards opportunities and manage submissions process.
• Offer analysis on all press efforts for brand and campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with Manager, Marketing for all cross-functional efforts.
Required Skills
/ Experience
• 6 years work experience required.
• Direct experience with major publicity efforts, preferably in entertainment.
• Proven track record with strategic level work, directly managing campaigns from ideation to completion.
• Understanding of and comfortability with relevant technology sectors.
• Composure, tact, and discretion with sensitive info and high-profile people.
• Passion for the immersive entertainment space.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to see projects through with competing priorities and deadlines.
