Job Summary:
Reports to: VP, Human Resources
The Director, HR Business Partner, ILM is responsible for leading and managing the HR function, operations, and team for all ILM Studios. Partners with Studio Executive Leadership and Management to develop HR strategies and initiatives that align with the studios in several global locations
Responsibilities:
• Strategic partner to the global executive team providing coaching and direction on HR programs, policies, and processes, including employee relations, compensation strategy, talent planning, retention, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of high performance and continuous growth/development
• Partner with Studio Executives to develop and implement short and long term HR initiatives that align with the studio strategy and goals
• Provide expert advice and counsel to leaders on all organization, leadership, and human resources issues
• Lead a high performing team of HR professionals, modelling effective behaviors, identifying priorities, providing regular performance feedback and facilitating development opportunities
• Provide leadership and oversight on Global ILM HR programs and initiatives including talent management, employee experience, rewards and recognition, performance management, diversity and inclusion, and global mobility (immigration)
• Partner with Compensation team to manage total rewards, including annual merit reviews, bonus program, promotions, and out of cycle requests
• Resolve complex employee relations issues through coaching employees and managers, partnering with the Employee Relations Team
• Collaborate with Recruitment, with a strong focus on acquiring and retaining top talent and on building talent pipeline
• Global HR projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• 12 years of experience in HR, at least 7 years in a management or business partner role, including direct involvement with senior business executives in high growth, entrepreneurial business environments
• Minimum 5 years leading and managing a team of HR professionals
• Previous experience working in Technology and/or Entertainment/Production environments preferred
• Proven ability to proactively translate changing business objectives to effective HR strategies
• Demonstrated success in driving HR strategy to facilitate the achievement of business goals
• Strong business acumen – good overall understanding of company financials and operations
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and build strong partnerships with leadership
• Significant experience and proven track record in organizational development and driving large-scale change and transformation that is successful and sustained
• Strong knowledge of employment law and ability to apply to a variety of situations
• Possesses both strategic thinking capability and ''hands on'' HR plan implementation experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated track record of successfully collaborating with leadership with the organization and across geographies
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Experience coaching and developing team capabilities
• Models excellent judgment and demonstrates the courage to take smart risks that improve business performance
• Be willing to adjust style and approach to best meet the needs of a high touch, fast-paced, nimble, creative environment
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to work within various time zones and adjust schedules as needed
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
