Imagine This Women's International Film Festival is looking for a Graphic Design (Unpaid Intern) Available to commit 10-15 hrs. per week.
Please note, this is an unpaid intern position
Going on its 4th year Imagine This Women's International Film Festival is a Brooklyn based women's film festival dedicated to providing aspiring women storytellers and filmmakers with a platform to encourage and develop new creative projects. ITWIFF strives to support women by sharing their work with the public, promoting equal opportunities, encouraging professional development, and serving as a resource and information network.
This person will help create attention-grabbing graphics, assist with updating logo, motion graphics, illustrations, company collateral, and much more. Previous professional graphic experience is a plus! A previous internship experience is a plus.
Available to commit 10-15 hrs. per week for the fall (End of August through December).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work on various design projects related to the Film Festival, including
Flags, flyers, invites, and posters
Video content (including title design and storyboarding)
Program Book
Requirements:
Passionate about learning; enthusiastic about film culture, film festivals, lifestyle, entertainment, and women in film.
Motion Graphics: 1 year (preferred)
Illustrator: 1 year (preferred)
Graphic Design: 1 year (preferred)
Currently pursuing a college degree
Working towards graphic design or related degree
Excellent communication skills,
especially the ability to communicate effectively with the use of photography, graphics, and animation
Ability to meet deadlines
Available mid of August through December
Must have access to the internet
*College credit will be provided to all candidates
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
ITWIFF offers our interns the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in an art and film festival organization; develop skills in social media, content creation, marketing and PR, email marketing, and project management; and to gain exposure to the independent film industry. Though unpaid, this is an excellent opportunity to participate in the process of an international film festival and the opportunity to network with industry leaders. University credit hours are available to qualified candidates.
