Illumination Fireworks, LLC is hiring a Special Effects & Pyrotechnics Technician in Carrollton, TX. Illumination Fireworks produces large-scale professional fireworks displays, indoor and outdoor pyrotechnics, lasers, cryo jets, fog, flames, and other special effects for top events across the United States.
Special Effects & Pyrotechnics Technician Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of setup and the firing of pyrotechnics and special effects productions while adhering to company policies, and adhering to applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure overall success of the production
Effectively communicating necessary information and following detailed instructions for the operation of events (including management, employees and crew members).
Working as part of a team, which could include lighting technicians, designers, stage managers and directors
Assisting with designing, engineering, building, and repairing special effects and fireworks display equipment
Regular maintenance and quality control of equipment, facility, vehicles, etc.
Characteristics and Traits of a Special Effects & Pyrotechnics Technician :
3-5 years prior experience within a professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity (electrical, mechanical, special effects, pyrotechnics) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Deep knowledge of indoor and outdoor pyro, fireworks, and firing systems.
Must possess strong time management skills, be punctual, and reliable while adjusting to constant changes in priorities.
Consistent attendance and ability to arrive to work assignments on time.
Good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn database and company systems software
Highly organized, detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions
