illuminate Hollywood, a leading LA based Post Production Company is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team.
illuminate Studios is a technology innovator in production and post-production serving the local and global entertainment industry. Working with major studios, TV networks, digital platforms, independent producers, and distributors, illuminate provides traditional post-production services such as editorial, color correction, digital intermediate and distribution in 2K and 4K.
We are looking for a professional self-motivated candidate, with superior work ethic and ability to work to strict delivery deadlines, with minimal direct supervision. Must have the ability to review and understand technical specs as they pertain to the creation of content for digital distribution platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily post production facility operations and workflow on Day/Graveyard/Weekend shifts and workload of 20+ staff members in Color, Editorial, Data, QC, Customer Service and Shipping areas.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed correctly.
• Assign personnel and equipment resources as needed to work orders based upon work order due date/time, equipment availability, order requirements, and personnel skill level.
• Troubleshoot and devise alternate solutions when issues arise to ensure deadlines are met.
• Reconcile hours (Utilized as well as Billable hours) on a daily basis.
• Implementation of changes in procedures to improve efficiencies.
• Communicate changes in policies and procedures to staff in a clear, concise manner.
• Oversee client services for client session needs including ordering meals, providing refreshments and supplies.
• Address disciplinary issues.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Management experience desirable.
• Feature Mastering and Episodic dailies experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of full Post Production Facility Operations experience required.
• Broad understanding of the Post Production facility process.
• Experience tracking materials within the post production process.
