Summer Internship

This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship

Ideal Talent Agency, a full service boutique agency, is accepting applications to our summer internship program. (and fall interns are welcome to apply)

Our agency handles writers, directors, and actors for TV, Film, and commercials.

Duties generally include answering phones, interacting with clients, filing, assisting with breakdowns, and audition notices. You will also be given a broad range of client specific work which can range from PR, to marketing, to updating materials, to identifying additional opportunities.

Additionally, on the Literary side, duties include script coverage, preparing submissions, and special projects including devising go out lists, marketing, handling side projects and some basics of executive producing.

Our internships are geared toward learning through immersion and we do our best to make ourselves accessible for questions and try to give assignments based on our intern's interests.

As a smaller agency, we tend to give our interns more hands on work compared to other internships. Depending on your time commitment and learning curve, we've had interns who by the end of the summer were practically agents in their own right. Our previous interns went on to land jobs with major companies after college.

As always, there is some filing and administrative work asked of our interns, but this is much less than many other internships. There tends to be a lot of project based work and research.

Intern needs to be friendly, energetic, personable, knowledgeable with a Mac and interested in learning all about how a talent agency works. Must type 50 words a minute and heavy preference given to those with some office experience.??We will wind up accepting between 4 and 6 interns depending on scheduling. Up to two of those positions would work with our Latin Department, so bilingual candidates would be given special consideration.

Minimum of 3 days a week, though 5 days a week is given strong preference. Business hours are 9:30 am - 7 pm, but we ask a minimum of 5 hours a day commitment. The more someone is available, the more we can include interns in projects.

We will satisfy any requirements for school credit. We also are amenable to international students.

Our preference is to only hire those who are located or are relocating within 25 miles of the office simply because of the burden of a commute.

Plenty of free parking and our office is very easily accessible by metro station (3 blocks from Universal City Metro Station).
