We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed oriented Assistant for our Music department, who can stay one step ahead of an influential publicist representing an eclectic client roster. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, have the ability to keep up with an extremely busy, fast-paced office, and remain composed in high-pressure environments with strong-willed personalities. Must be able to multi-task under breaking deadlines. This is a challenging position which has the potential to lead to a rewarding career as an entertainment publicist.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience of PR agency or record label experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive nature and enthusiasm toward account work
- Experience handling tour press
- Savvy on the use of social media and understand how it can be
leveraged for publicity
- Writing press materials including press releases, pitch letters and
weekly reports
- Monitor online and print publications daily for client coverage and
news-of-interest.
- Responsible for the management and upkeep of media lists, PR and
awards documents, media database, administrative work and
scheduling, etc.
- Motivated, resourceful, able to work independently or as part of a
team, a creative thinker and a multi-tasker who can meet deadlines and
manage several projects simultaneously
- Be extremely well-organized
