SUMMARY
Hulu’s Consumer and Market Insights team is seeking a Social Insights Analyst who has experience in research or social media, preferably coming from a business, marketing or economics background. As a Social Insights Analyst at Hulu, you will learn how to use the industry’s leading social media analytics tools to craft insightful stories and analyses using data gleaned from social media conversations and habits to help drive the business forward. Using social media data and your analytical skills, you will become a specialist in understanding how consumers react to our brand and original content on social media, creating and crafting reports that highlight themes in conversation, and evaluating the performance of our social media posts. The role will focus on working with the Social Insights team in interpreting data, translating it into impactful takeaways, and sharing the information with the organization to support the company’s initiatives. You should be adept at balancing multiple complex projects at once within tight timelines.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Support Social Insights team in the process of planning and executing social listening and insights projects by monitoring social conversation and trends around our brand and industry. This could include tasks like: reporting on Original shows and films, collecting historical data on our originals to create performance benchmarks, etc.
• Partner and collaborate with the social insights team and key partners across numerous business units to build out goals and measurement plans for various campaigns
• Coordinate with partners (both internal and external) to capture and track all relevant information about our Originals social accounts in our suite of tools
• Social listening tool setup including keywords, query parameters, and dashboards
• Stay abreast of television, OTT, and social media news, trends, and best practices
WHAT TO BRING
• 2 years of research or social media analytics/insights experience, preferably within the media and entertainment industry
• Ability to work within strict time constraints while balancing multiple projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
• A collaborative teammate who is able to work in a constantly evolving environment
• Passionate about research, television, marketing, emerging media, and technology
• Strong PowerPoint/Excel and Google Slide/Sheet skills
• Knowledge of market leading social media tools (e.g. ListenFirst, NetBase, Canvs, Helixa, Tubular preferred)
• Experience with social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat
• BA/BS preferred
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience at a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) streaming service or a research company working with a DTC streaming service
• Experience with primary research methodologies and analysis
• Knowledge of a variety of social insight methodologies and their applications
