SUMMARY
Hulu's Subscriber Growth Partnerships team is seeking a Senior Manager, Partner Engagement who will be an exceptional addition to our growing organization. In this role, you will report to the Director of Partner Engagement and will be directly responsible for overseeing relationships with key strategic distribution partners (e.g., Spotify, Apple, Roku, etc.) to grow Hulu's SVOD and Live TV subscribers. Once established, you will work tirelessly to grow those partnerships through collaborative and innovative growth initiatives. The right person for this role possesses strong thought leadership, execution, relationship management, technical, and financial decision-making skills. You will assist the Director and other team members in identifying targets, vetting different partnership business models, navigating internal approval processes, and negotiating agreements. Once executed, you will continue to monitor and optimize performance and manage the partner relationship. You should have a high degree of knowledge regarding subscriber acquisition and performance marketing deals, possess excellent communication skills and be detail-oriented in your approach. Other elements critical to success in this role include curiosity, eagerness to learn, and experience working cross-functionally within a complex organization (e.g., Marketing, Product, Tech, Finance, and Legal). Finally, you think big, learn quickly, and approach everything with humility and enthusiasm.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own and manage a key set of distribution partner relationships, fostering proactive collaboration and executing across all stages of the partnership lifecycle (i.e., negotiation, subscriber acquisition, engagement/retention, technical integration, marketing initiatives, etc.)
• Rigorously analyze partner performance, provide key requirements to technical teams to establish partner tracking mechanisms and regularly create/update long-term plans for each owned partnership
• Contribute to financial analysis, roadmap planning, tech and product scoping, contract negotiation, monitoring engagement/retention, and executing across all the stages of the partnership lifecycle, spanning high-level strategy and tactical execution
• Work shoulder to shoulder with Product, Dev and Marketing teams to launch new offerings
• Leverage strategic knowledge to 'hunt' for new industry verticals and high-impact partners
• Assist with the development and enhancement of the general partner management strategy, processes, and tools
• Help drive the overall strategy for subscriber growth and distribution partnerships
• Deliver key presentations to senior leadership both within Hulu and to external partners
WHAT TO BRING
• Bachelor's Degree
• 12 years overall experience, with several years of business development experience with a media/technology focus
• Strong track record of partnership experience with enterprises
• Strong partner engagement skills with the ability to develop relationships and maximize existing partner channels
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests concurrently, with flexibility to adapt seamlessly to rapid shifts in direction/strategy
• Ability to identify problems, quickly devise feasible solutions, disseminate the appropriate information to relevant stakeholders and ultimately bring about timely resolution
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to tailor messages for both business and technical audiences; comfort in addressing informal team meetings and delivering prepared presentations to executives/external audiences
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on technical projects, specifically in translating business objectives/priorities for product management and engineering colleagues
• Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data, quickly synthesizing them into actionable steps supporting a broader strategic purpose
• Willingness to travel (10-15%)
