SUMMARY
Hulu's Consumer and Market Insights team is seeking a Content Marketing Research Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our Marketing team. As a Content Marketing Research Manager at Hulu, you will support stakeholders from Originals Marketing, Brand Marketing, Content Development and Acquisition, by providing research and actionable insights to address strategic business objectives. The right person for this role is intellectually curious and analytical, who can juggle multiple projects and requests at once. If you are someone who is as passionate about television as you are about driving decision-making by bringing the voice of the consumer to the boardroom, then this is a great role for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Work closely with content stakeholders to identify, recommend and execute research studies to guide key decisions.
• Manage qualitative and quantitative research studies end-to-end. Candidates must be very comfortable with questionnaire development, survey programming, data collection, quality control checks, analyzing raw data, report generation and presenting results.
• Develop actionable insights and strategies by synthesizing relevant data sources to tell a clear and holistic story. This includes primary, secondary and internal data sources.
• Field ad-hoc requests from key stakeholders in a timely fashion.
• Coordinate with internal and external research partners, including full-service vendors, sample providers, and providers of research tools and technology, to ensure processes are running smoothly.
• Collaborate on projects with other members of the Hulu research team to address business initiatives.
• Stay abreast of television, OTT and research industry news, trends and best practices.
WHAT TO BRING
• 5 years of entertainment research experience, preferably at a market research supplier focused on the Entertainment vertical
• Knowledge of a variety of market research methodologies and their applications, including experience executing market positioning, post viewership studies, development studies, concept, title and pilot tests from start to finish
• Project management experience, specifically in executing qualitative and quantitative research projects with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
• Ability to write clearly and succinctly, analyze and summarize data
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects
• Team player with a proactive, adaptive and collaborative work style
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to apply to both research execution and business questions
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
• BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Social/Behavioral Sciences or related field, with strong academic record
• Passionate about research, television, marketing, emerging media and technology
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience with SPSS or other analytical tools
• Experience with syndicated research tools such as MRI and comScore
