Full Time Job
Hulu is seeking an assistant to two of the Executives in our Casting Department, who will be an exceptional addition to our Originals team. As an Assistant at Hulu, you will support the casting process for Hulu Original pilots, series and features produced. The right person for this role is someone who has a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude and who takes initiative. If you are passionate about television and interested in pursuing a career in casting, then this is a great role for you.
Responsibilities
:
• Provide detailed organizational and administrative support to the Casting department
• Manage busy calendar and heavy phones, maintain phone sheet, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements, and prepare itineraries
• Track all materials – outlines, scripts, production schedules, breakdowns, status lists, etc.
• Create and maintain contact sheets
• Maintain casting database
• Work closely with creative development/current programming teams
• Research actors and brands/current trends
• Create and update presentations, letters, and other forms of management reports and communications
• Handle internal and external communications with high degree of diplomacy
• Handle confidential and other sensitive information
Basic Qualifications
:
• 1 year minimum administrative and organizational support for a busy entertainment executive
• Ability to respond to changing business priorities/needs with a sense of urgency
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, FileMaker Pro, Internet) & tech savvy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to successfully manage multiple projects at a time
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects under deadlines
• Exceptional verbal, written (spelling, punctuation, grammar)
• Effective and professional interpersonal/communication skills – collaboration skills are essential
• Tenacity, passion for details, solid judgment and discretion
• A confident, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively under pressure is required!
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 years of administrative and organizational support for a busy entertainment executive
• Agency or Casting office experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of the television/entertainment industry
• Familiarity with Casting Directors and studio casting departments
Required Education
:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
