GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provides financial assistance to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing financial reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:-
-Demonstrates our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork and contributes meaningfully to building a cohesive, efficient department that serves all customer needs at an exemplary level.
- Assist with the Rockets, Toyota Center, and Clutch Gaming monthly close process, including various account reconciliations, detailed account schedule preparation and recurring monthly postings.
- Adhere to month end close deadlines.
- Assist with various audits throughout the year including Year End Financial, BRI League and CFS League audits.
- Receive and book the ticketing provider weekly settlements and ticket reports daily.
- Prepare the monthly Sales Tax packets for review and payment for each company.
- Manage Sponsorship, Suites and Theater Box contract files.
- Invoice Sponsors, Suites and Theater Box partners and manage payment schedule.
- Reconcile American Express Statement for Toyota Center.
- Manage Independent Service contractor schedule.
- Prepare and book the Rockets game closings.
- Receive and book Team Store and Internet retail reports.
- Prepare gate receipt reports to send to league after each home game.
- Prepare event settlements for third party events at Toyota Center.
- Assist with the review of Accounts Payable invoice batches for proper expense coding and approvals for vendor payment processing.
- Prepare and book 3rd Tier Event flash reports.
- Perform special projects and other various duties as requested by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting required.
- 1-5 years of experience
.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – especially Excel.
- The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, great attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with GreatPlains accounting software preferred.

- The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
