General Description:
The IT Systems Coordinator is responsible for answering questions, providing advice, troubleshooting and assisting customers in solving technology related problems to provide efficient and effective problem identification and resolution for the Houston Rockets and the Houston Toyota Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Install, support and maintain desktops or other computer systems, backup systems, and plan for and respond to service outages and other problems.
• Field Help Desk calls for hardware and support issues. Maintain work orders/ticketing system.
• Maintain Active Directory environment including: account creation/deletion, updates, changes, data migration/maintenance.
• Coordinate inventory control of hardware and supplies.
• Coordinate set-up of systems at all home games and 3rd Party events.
• Demonstrate our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience supporting & troubleshooting Azure Active Directory, Office365, Outlook/Exchange, Windows 7 & 10.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and their standard management features.
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Two years' experience in customer service is required. Experience in a technical support role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.
• Basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a variety of personalities and skillsets, and improve the quality of IT processes, services and products.
• Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Successfully perform job duties in accordance with defined procedures and with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
• The vision requirement includes close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Must have ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed.
